tid 7009384 - removing unused devices

Running build 730, I don't have the tag referenced in the following tid

http://www.novell.com/support/php/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=7009384&sliceId=1&docTypeID=DT_TID_1_1&dialogID=268071156&stateId=0%200%20268067217

does it get added in the custom element?

Are you sure you are looking at the right file? I just pulled up the
connector.xml file referenced in that TID and I've got that setting.
And yes, it should be listed in the <custom> section.

Hope so, I copied and pasted directly from the TID 🙂

Ah... I didn't try that. Try searching that file just for database
instead of the entire parameter name. You'll hit a few other
parameters with database in the name but you should find this one. If
so then it could be the TID has a typo. I'll check myself in a bit on
my test server.

I grepped the entire /etc/datasync tree and that file is the only one
with databaseMaintenance anything in it. Start/stop hour and the enable
tag.

Just checked another server and it has the tag in there. Not sure what
sequence I did installs between the two any more. I think the one with
the tag in there might have been and upgrade from 343, the one without
might have been a fresh install of the one preceding 730.

Might just want to check with the devs that the install/upgrade for 730
and beyond inserts that tag if it's not there.

Hmm... sounds like something may have not finished properly during the
upgrade. I'd say try adding the parameter but you could be missing
others as well. I'd say on this server without the parameter try
running the 730 upgrade again (no need to run the update.sh script
again though).

I'll see if I can dig anything up.
