CSA UI - add price on user operation

CSA UI - add price on user operation

Hello,

It will be great if on the user operation action, we can add to the subscription the price of the user action if applicable.

For example when the user adds new disk to his virtual machine, he uses the user operation related to the virtual server the he selects the disk size. The total price of the subscription has to be updated depending the disk size that has been added.

Thanks

Hi,

This could be acheived by performing a modify action on a subscription. Is there a specific reason why this action is run as a user operation?

Can you please provide more details?

Thanks,

Prasanna

Hi

The virtual server can have more than one disk.

So actually we manage it using user operation that create a component via an OO flow. User can create multiple disk and he can also delete a disk using user operation.

The main problem is that the price is not reflected to the subscription.

Yhanks,

Modify subscription does not allow adding unlimited number of disks  if each disk has to be of different sizes.

We will need to enhance the MPP modification form that would allow creating options on the fly so that when a new disk is asked to be added, it will create a new option properties to allow user to specify the disk size. Right now,  woth current behavior it is possible to add unlimited number of disks, but they ALL have to have the same size. Only when it is required to add unlimited number of disks with different disk size, user operation has to be used and that does not allow to reflect the price of newly added disk

I see several issues with pricing Useroperations for permanent changes. e.g. Disks. Disks must be added by subscriber options as only those allow analysis of changed Requestes e.g. order 1 disk on 1st of Jan Modify on 15 of jan to 2 disks. With user operations those INfos dont get documented properly in Requests.

I rather would circle back to a long lasting ER to overhaul the Subscriberoptionmodel.

One point here was a scaling Multiselect option set.

means you checkbox first option ... second option appears .... check this ... third option apears.

Pricing UserOperations from my perspective can only be used for one time fees..... e.g. Reset PW ... if you charge this.
