Health Tool monitoring for HCM

CSA provides a java command line 'health tool' which generates reports providing the status of the CSA environment such as; 

• Database connection

• JBoss server connection

• CSA service

• Identity Management component connection

• Marketplace portal service

• LDAP server connection

• CSA data checks

The results can be generated as a text or html file.  Having this capability provides a clear summary of the system health for monitoring and troubleshooting purposes

Extending this to the HCM suite to create a 'health tool' similar to that in CSA would be invaluable. Many HCM checks done today are by command line and if we can utilise the health tool concept from CSA to allow HCM admins to create text/html reports with a status of the major HCM components it would help to improve system maintenance and give a detailed starting point for any debug that is required.

Agreed, @GrayP , with the stipulation that this health too should NOT be limited to the CSA part of HCM but should encompass all of the suite modules. It could then easily be expanded to a full monitoring solution (SNMP?)
