Approval Pending - Tentative approved

Hi All,

Env: IG 3.6.1, RHEL 8.1, Oracle 19c.

IG app is currently running in HA. User requested for a permission and the approver approved the request. On my requests status is showing as Approval Pending - Tentative approved with retract option. Only one approval step was added in this scenario. Any idea why the status is pending and how can we clear this issue in the future without contacting the users?

A Tentative Approve generally happens when the Approver presses the Approve button BUT does not press the submit button.  At this point the Request is in a Tentative Approve State. (You can have the opposite if one presses the Deny option, but do not press submit.  This would be Tentative Deny).  Access Request is just like Reviews where it is a two (2) step process. Step #1 is select the action Approve/Deny and then Step #2 is to press the Submit button. Now,  there can be 3rd step, if comments are required then one will have to fill in a comment.

Does the single Approver still see the Task in their "Approvals" page?

Yes, the user approval still sees the task on approval page. He approved the request but didn't submit. Thanks for your response.
