Day 1 at Cisco Live in Orlando came to a close, but we're looking forward to 3 more days of bringing customers one future of network management - integration of Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA) with our ITOM solutions.
Brian Kaplan started the day with a speaking session at the Enterprise Network and Mobility village where he discussed how our solutions can deliver better outcomes using the data delivered by CIsco DNA and, specifically, a technology demonstration showing the resolution of a wireless controller issue.
In this technology demonstration, we're able to identify the issue, pull in the Cisco DNA information to verify, identify a solution (update WLAN config) and deploy the config using a REST API instruction to update the config using a DNA template. While Network Operations Management could certainly update the config on the device, using the API to instruct Cisco DNA greatly simplifies the task by removing requirements to know the specific CLIs.
While Cisco DNA provides monitoring and configuration, those DNA-enabled devices are going to be a subset of the overall network. Network Operations Management bridges that gap and delivers to the core requirement of our customers to manage their multi-vendor environments.
The team from Micro Focus is very appreciative of the opportunity provided by Cisco to be part of Cisco Live 2018 and we're looking forward to delivering better solutions as a team. And, if you're at the show, be sure to stop by booth 2267, station E17 in the World of Solutions exhibition area in the Enterprise Network and Mobility village. We'll see you there! #CLUS
