All of us here at Micro Focus are really excited about our upcoming Micro Focus Virtual Universe North America, May 19th – 21st 2020, our premier customer event.  In addition to our customer-led and product sessions, we’ve lined up some important guest speakers that will help you set your strategic direction for 2020 and beyond.

Below, I'm going to break down the 'must-see' sessions that are happening each day from generic sessions, to ITOM Keynotes, and specifically for Operations Bridge. 

Tuesday’s General Sessions

We start on Tuesday, May 19th, with our executive keynote sessions.  Stephen Murdoch, CEO, Micro Focus will discuss business continuity and innovation at the enterprise level, and will share how Micro Focus delivers the solutions that help you bridge your existing technology with your move to new technology. He will cover where Micro Focus is making strategic investments to ensure you have a strong, stable partner in your race to both run and transform your business.

Milind Govekar from Gartner will provide direction into the timely topic of ongoing continuity and effective disaster recovery solutions when dealing with major disruptions such as COVID-19.

Tim Crawford, who is included in the top 100 of the most Influential Chief Information Technology Officers, will discuss digital transformation from his provocative and pragmatic approach.

Tuesday on the ITOM Channel

Tom Goguen, the Chief Product Officer, and IT Operations Management Product Group Leader, will give a Hybrid IT Management keynote that you won't want to miss.

Wednesday on ITOM Channel – Track 2

Our sessions on Wednesday, May 20th start with Harald Burose, Director of Product Management for Operations Bridge. He will be delivering the AIOps track strategy and roadmap. Here’s the abstract for his session:

SunGard Availability Services:

Centralizing IT Operations to Improve Customer Service Delivery

SunGard Availability Services provides managed hybrid IT services and consultation for over 3,000 customers globally.  Today, they manage over 15k servers and 10k network devices for their customers across this complex Hybrid IT estate.  In this session, Jack O’Neil, Director of IT Operations at SunGard AS, will give us an inside look at how they use Operations Bridge to centralize event management and reduce alarms by 97% across their service delivery.  Learn how integrating change management data and introducing automated ticketing with IT service management can drive more efficient monitoring.  Additionally, Jack will share some best practice considerations when implementing centralized monitoring across a hybrid IT service delivery model.

Autonomous Operations and the Virtualized Workforce

Thursday at Universe

On Thursday morning, Genefa Murphy, CMO, Micro Focus will start the day with a dedicated Diversity & Digital Transformation panel discussion.

Next, Leland Melvin, retired NASA Astronaut and former player in the NFL, will deliver our closing keynote.
