Hopefully you have had the chance to study the Gartner AIOps report, and see their definition of capabilities for AIOps. According to the report, AIOps platforms combine big data and machine learning functionality to support IT operations. When you read it you will see how many capabilities our ITOM Software provides with Operations Bridge (OpsBridge).
The idea of combining big data and machine learning has been one of the guiding principles to the design of our OpsBridge track. We will be exploring the suite during Micro Focus Universe. Let’s have look at the line-up of sessions so you can learn more about Operations Bridge and how this monitoring solution can help you. We kick off on Wednesday with Schlumberger speaker Philippe Sartiaux. Always an entertaining speaker, Philippe will outline Schlumberger’s Robotic Process Automation (RPA) approach and show how his team has transformed their operations by defining a “virtual workforce”. The session is obviously closely linked to a strong degree of automation across their operations. Philippe will describe their methodology to adopt OpsBridge to robotize as much as possible.
After several months of production they have hit the jackpot with a revolutionary RPA approach. You know there is really no reason why you couldn’t take a page from their book, OpsBridge provides what’s needed. I promise this is definitely a session to see.
Transformation – why and how does it help
In our next two sessions we’ll hear from two different customers about their own transformation journeys, and how OpsBridge has helped. No track could be complete without these types of inspirational stories.
We know that many of you are doing more with less and are adopting new processes such as DevOps. We also know that the pressure to help the business maintain a competitive edge are common themes and challenges to be addressed.
At Ericsson, transformation to a more service- and value-centric IT operations has been a major project for several years. They chose OpsBridge and will show in this session how they have made progress with some amazing benefits. These measured benefits include greatly improved visibility they are now providing to their business partners with their tailored business value dashboards. I’m sure the presenter Michael Horn won’t mind me suggesting that if he can do it so can you, and you will definitely want to see the attractive lightweight reporting they now enjoy with their BVD examples.
Maxim Kachelkin of Raiffeisen Bank Russia will describe their adoption of DevOps during his session. Continuous operations is integral with those definitions, so monitoring has to adapt and be capable of providing the means to support fast agile methods and innovative business services.
