DDMI license

Jump to solution

Hi,

We have DDMI 7.60 license and now we want to have higher version of DDMI 9.30.

Do we need fresh license for DDMI 9.30 . As of now our customer do not have Active HP contract. In that case

1.  License to be bought for DDMI 9.30 ?

2.  Is there any demo available which can be installed and implemented now and later on applied the license when our customer buys it.

Please help in clearing the questionare.

I think there was a big jump in the licensing scheme... i can't remember if it was 7.60 -> 7.70.

I don't work for HP, so your customer really needs to talk to their HP sales rep.

As for general licensing questions:
HP licenses you on:
*Devices Inventoried

*Devices Discovered

If you have a "Support / Maintenance" contract... you are pretty much entitled to all the upgrades / patches for ANY version of DDMI.

So that being said... I *think* all your customer needs to do is buy support/maintenance... and you will be automatically entitled to 9.30  (9.32 is the latest).

No  new "Licenses" would need to be bought ... *I THINK* 🙂

Hi,

As far as I remember your customer doesn't have support contract.

Honestly, I don't know what you need to do to upgrade your product or to obtain evaluation license.

As Jeff mentioned, you need to contact your HP representative and I am sure you will get all the answers.

You cannot use your 7.60 license in 9.3x; starting with 7.70 licensing schema has changed.

Also again Jeff has mentioned, if you are planning to upgrade, upgrade to 9.32 and then 9.32 Update 1 release.

Again, your HP representative will help you about those details as well.
