ED 2.5 Scan file naming convention

Jump to solution
Hi,

I am using Enterprise Discovery 2.5. When scan files are uploaded to the ED server they are named ___.xsf

The serial number is that of the scanned device (windows server in this instance).

Is there any way to change the naming convention for these xsf files?

Thanks,

Roy

Hi Roy

the scan file name comes from the asset tag

what ever you have configured for your asset tag will be used for the scan file name

the setting for asset tag configuration can be found in the Scanner generator.

the configuration_and_customization.pdf
has information on how to do this in chapter 11 scanner generator
look at page 122 to get started

hope this helps
