How do I access values from postscan in hwAssetCustomData with Connect-It

Jump to solution

I am using DDMI 9.31 and Connect-It 9.40 to move data to Asset Manager 9.30. I am using a postscan.cmd file on Windows to populate some values about Bit Locker. Can someone suggest a way to access hwAssetCustomData?

Since hwAssetCustomData could contain 0..N Name / Value pairs but, it is not a collection, I am a little lost on how to proceed.

Thanks in advance.

The issue has been documented in KM1281375

This is fixed in CIT 9.40 except if your scenario is based on the parallel scenario. For the parallel scenarios the documentation states that you should use the database config file located at <INSTALL DIR>\scenario\ed\ddmi93\ddmi93am93parallel\config\ddmi93db.cfg. This file has not been updated to make hwAssetCustomData a collection.

To fix my issue I copy & pasted the section for hwAssetCustomData from the default file to the scenario config file.

      <COLLECTION Name="hwAssetCustomData">
        <Property Name="TABLE" Type="String">hwAssetCustomData</Property>
        <Property Name="LINK" Type="String">@{..Device_ID} = FIELD{Device_ID}</Property>
        <ATTRIBUTE Name="AllFields" Type="None">
          <Property Name="FIELD" Type="String">self</Property>
        </ATTRIBUTE>
      </COLLECTION>

Is anyone using postscan scripts?

If so, how are you using the data after you collect it?
