Regenerate DDMi web server certificate?

Jump to solution
is it possible to regenarate the web server ssl certificate for DDMi, we had pilot server called server1 that was used to tune the scanners etc. we have built a new server server2 and restored the database from server1, all works fine agent communication etc, apart from the web access reports hostname mismatch because the apache cert is from server1.

is it possible to recreate a new ssl cert and retain the agent certs ( to avoid redeploying the agents )

Thanks

The web server cert and the agent communication cert are different.

When you run the DDMI install, it prompts you for a server name. The certificates are generated with this name in them.

If the cert files already exist, then they are not regenerated.

Just move the files under datadir/cert/ssl.key and ssl.crt to a backup location and restart the DDMI server. The startup sequence will regenerate the files using the server name you specified at install time.
