Support Tip: DDMI might trigger print commands on network printers causing huge prints.

As part of the normal DDMI workflow, when DDMI is using Agentless discovery or automatic Agent deployment, it is trying to connect to ADMIN$ share on those devices, which causes this issue.


To address this issue the following steps need to be taken:


  • Create a separate Device group for the network printers
  • Assign it a higher rank than the group they were previously configured in
  • Make sure that Agent deployment and Agentless discovery is disabled in the Agent Profile for that Device group
