Greetings Everyone,
I wanted to let you know that ID Gov 3.5 has been released. The
software is available the same way it has been.

Re: ID Gov 3.5 released

Hi
I'm very excited to test the new version, but realized that it has not became easier to install...

"NetIQ no longer provides Tomcat, ActiveMQ or PostgreSQL software as part of the Identity Governance release."

"For your convenience, NetIQ provides sample installation scripts to help you install components needed for Identity Governance, such as Tomcat, ActiveMQ, PostgreSQL, and OSP."

Where can I find the installation scripts for tomcat / postgres AMQ ?

cheers

Re: ID Gov 3.5 released

I also noticed a nice direct authentication integration with NAM: U+1F44D U+1F44D !

Identity Governance requires one of the following scenarios for the authentication service:
* OSP 6.3
* Access Manager 4.4.3
* Access Manager configured to connect to OSP

But the documentation says nothing how to setup directly with nam.. just a link to the root NAM documentation site..

Greetings,
Just resolving an aspect with the Windows set of "scripts" and then
they will be available in the Technical Doc section of the ID Gov
documentation page.
The concept of the scripts is that they can be used to help set-up
the environment. One will download the necessary Windows or Linux files
(Tomcat, ActiveMQ, JDK, PostgreSQL). Then one can use these helper
scripts to configure Tomcat, OpenJDK, ActiveMQ and/or PostgreSQL.

Re: ID Gov 3.5 released

Thanks for the info, that will address the technical aspect.
Will the script be part of the official software release and will the downloaded software components be supported by Micro Focus? What is the reason behind not providing the components as we are used to have it?

Could you please report back to product management that there is a major issue for certain environments (e.g. at banks) to "go out there, grab some software and install it somehow" - for compliance-relevant software? One of my customer has a certified middleware platform, it has its own version and support cycles, there is no option to place web application components just like that on any server - except it comes by the software vendor, is part of its installation process and receives updates and support by this vendor.

Not a good selling point either!

Will I still be able to get support on IG problems related to Tomcat, OpenJDK, ActiveMQ and / or PostgreSQL through regular support channels?
