Review stuck in starting state

Hi,

Running IDG 3.5.1 on Tomcat 9.0.20 with Postgres 10.8, on Redhat 7.4.

I have a problem with a User Profile Review that was terminated during startup and got stuck in the startup state. In the Review Definitions page it says "Starting review" in the Status column and there is only a spinning wheel in the Actions column. Not able to terminate it again, and I'm not able to remove the Review definition since it says there is a running instance.

I have restarted Tomcat but that did not help. The catalina log spams this message around the time I cancelled the review:
org.quartz.impl.jdbcjobstore.JobStoreSupport recoverMisfiredJobs - Handling the first 20 triggers that missed their scheduled fire-time. More misfired triggers remain to be processed.

Thankful for any advice.

Re: Review stuck in starting state

Greetings,
A review can take a bit of time to start because of (a) we generate all that is necessary for the review at start-up (every review item and the flow they will normally take) and (b) database statistics will be run. Normally if one presses Cancel on a start-up of a review it will stop (understand that it is not immediate stop because the review start-up has to reach a stoppable point). Also, a restart of the Application Server generally will clean-up a Review that is stuck in "start-up" mode.

At this point, I would recommend that you open a Service Request with Support so that we can investigate your system and help to resolve this.

Re: Review stuck in starting state

My experience is that Support can guide you to fix it, if it is truly stuck, and properly clear it from the DB.  But do try a Support incident ono this as it is not straightforward, per se.
