The method of setting task due date relative to when the user receives the task can lead to confusion when task are reassigned. If a task is reassigned shortly before it is due the due date is pushed ahead, the task may never go past due and get escalated.
Setting a hard coded task due date will prevent this and leave all tasks due at the same time.
