Self Review items confusion.

0 Votes

The current functionality when setting the self review policy to “Keep self-review in multiple reviewer queues” can cause confusion.

If a user is the reviewer and owner of a permission (and there are other valid reviewers) the item shows up in the users review item list with the message “You cannot act on this item due to a self-review policy” – This is very good and working as desired.

The confusion comes because the user will continue to get reminder (and escalations) email that they have this item in the queue. But they can’t act on it and they can’t see who is able to act on the item. They are  getting reminders they have no way to act on.

The ideal setup would be allowing them to view the list of approves on these items (They can see this of approvers list on items they do have rights to approve by clicking “view activity”

Along with a configuration option that indicates if the reviewer should get an email if self review item(s) are the only items in the queue.
