CODE MAP Refresh Scope

What is the scope of the Code Map refresh? Is it the entire tree, only
the current driver set, only the current partition, some user app config
value?

It is the entire driver set for sure. I am not sure if it will look to
other driver sets or not.

You can now call the SOAP function that only updates a single
entitlemnet in a single driver if you want to scope it down.

In fact, if you look at the PCRS driver add ons for AD/Delim text, you
will see they make a Java call to a toolkit JAR they added in 4.5 that
only updates the specific entitlement.

Thanks Geoff....

It bites that you can't control the scope. I'm working in an
environment, set up by others, and there's 2 driver sets....so makes it
difficult to get resources set up with entitlements that exist in the
other set.

So per Casper, it is all drivers in all driversets in the tree. Which
is actually the desired outcome.

To scope it the way you want, you can iterate over all the Entitlement
objects in your defined scope, then call the Java call to just refresh
that one entitlement.

Pulling from the PCRS policies, specifically:
NOVLADENTEX-pub-etp-EntitlementsImpl

<token-xpath
expression="ps:RefreshCodeMapforGroupEntitlement($UAProvURL,
$adminQualifiedLDAPDn, $ua-admin-pwd, $groupEntitlementLDAPDn,
1000,null, true)"/>

Policy node with namespace declaration is:

<policy
xmlns:ps="http://www.novell.com/nxsl/java/com.netiq.resources.ProvisioningScheduler">

Re: CODE MAP Refresh Scope

Actually, not tree wide yet in our environment (v3.7 - don't ask),
should be tree wide in a month or two when the uplift to 4.5 is
complete....

With IDM 4.0.x onwards it should be tree wide, meaning it will try to do
it for all drivers in all driversets.

The best way to see what is going on is to do an LDAP trace as it will
show what objects (EntitlementConfiguration) it's trying to find.

As for controlling the scope, if you have multiple driver sets, make
sure that you do not have multiple drivers with the same name.
