Designer 4.7.1 and Secure Storage Password
Hi,
After upgrade my Designer to 4.7.1, I did a change on the network connection configuration adding a proxy and it asked for a Secure Storage Password.
Now, everytime I start Designer it asks for the password.
I've been unable to find where this is configured.
Does anyone know how can I disable this password?
Regards
Jose Luis

Try changing the Active Provider to Direct in Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections in your Designer.

I changed it to Direct but it's still asking for the secure storage password.

Secure Storage is used for the passwords, which is an Eclipse feature, nothing
particular to Designer (see
http://help.eclipse.org/photon/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse.platform.doc.user/re
ference/ref-securestorage-works.htm for details).
Unfortunately Designer does not expose the Secure Storage preference page that
comes with native Eclipse and allows to delete credentials. They are usually
stored in ~/.eclipse/org.eclipse.equinox.security/secure_storage (which may be
shared with other Eclipse-based apps e.g. Apache Studio). You could try to
move/rename/delete that file and see if it solves your issue.

Hey Aditya, how about including the standard Eclipse "Secure Storage" prefs
page in the next Designer Update? 😉
Cheers, Lothar
