Disable password rules in "Change Password Portlet" UA4.0.2

Hi there,

do you know any possible way to _not_ display the password rules to the
user at all, while using the password change portlet?
I have the User Application 4.0.2 Patch D installed.

Currently the rules look something like this:

Code:
--------------------

Your password must have the following properties:

Minimum number of characters in password: x

You must use numbers in your password.

Minimum number of numeric characters in password: y

...

You may not use the following attribute values for your password:

Attribute1
Attribute2
Attribute3
Attribute4
Attribute5

--------------------

In UA 3.7 it was possible to just comment out the <pwdmgt:pwdRules/>
line in the "jsps\pwdmgt\ChangePassword.jsp" within IDMProv.war, but it
seems that this file isn't in use anymore.

Thanks in advance!

Greetings,
Please be advised that changing any file within the User
Application war, that is not specifically outlined in the documentation
that can be changed can cause the support to be void.

https://www.netiq.com/documentation/idm402/agpro/data/b88n0ju.html

"
IMPORTANT: The User Application is an application and not a framework.
The areas within the User Application that are supported to be modified
are outlined within the product documentation. Modifications to areas
not outlined within the product documentation are not supported.

Yes, thank you. I forgot to mention that. I'll try an alternative way
maybe with css and come back to you if I find something.

Btw. I would be a really nice feature if it could just be disabled via
the administration config ;).

Re: Disable password rules in "Change Password Portlet" UA4.0.2

I put this CSS into my theme and it is working for me:

Code:
--------------------

/* Hide Password Rules in Change Password Portlet */
div#PASSWORD_CHANGE_PANEL_ID div.nv-formFieldLabel { display:none; }

/* Hide Password Rules in Forgot Password Portlet */
form[name="forgotPwdChangeForm"] .nv-bodyContainer table table { display:none }

--------------------

It should not void the support because I'm not editing any files withing
the IDMProv.war.

Greetings,
As long as your custom theme is in its own war file and not within
the User Application war.

I would also consider looking into the SSPR standalone application. It
is much more flexible and customizable than the builtin stuff.
