[EAS] 4.0.2 start agent on bootup (linux)

Hello everyone!

I have a client with three servers. One of these servers is the
testing and development server which has the IDM 4.0.2 engine and
userapp installed. The other two are the productive servers, one has the
IDM engine, userapp and the jboss part of the reporting module. The
second productive server has only EAS installed.

I managed to get userapp to autostart using the following cool solution:
http://tinyurl.com/l3jycwm but i wasn't able to find a way to get EAS to
start on boot, only manually

If anyone could tell me how to get EAS to start on boot I'd be very
grateful

Thanks in advance!

Re: [EAS] 4.0.2 start agent on bootup (linux)

Alright, after carefully reading the documentation and trying out a few
things i discovered that actually EAS is installed as a service by
default. It uses the script /etc/init.d/sentinel_eas to start up. The
issue with this particular client was that the coworker of mine who
installed the agent didn't ask the client to install ksh and since the
sentinel_eas script uses ksh as its interpreter it didn't start at all!

So there you have it, if anyone is having this issue first check that
you have ksh installed otherwise EAS won't start at boot time.
