Error opening windows utility designer 4.0.2

Hi friends,
I have a problem with the Designer:
- Install the client station designer in my Windows 7 64-bit.
- Updates were installed.
- When trying to start the tool shows me the log message:

The version used is the designer 4.0.2 for windows
(designer_4.0.2_win32.zip). Is there any version of Windows 64bit
designer?

Thanks

Re: Error opening windows utility designer 4.0.2

There is no 64 bit Designer yet.

But the 32 bit build runs fine on Winders 64.

What I find helps is, do as you did, but one final step. I run the tool
Lothar wrote, which I cannot find a link for right now, that removes all
the deprecated JAR's after the update. Can be up to 700 megs worth!

Lothar? A link if you please. I have a copy downloaded, but not sure
where I got it from.

- Delete the existing installation (uninstall + clean up all remaining folders,
if any)
- rerun the installer (maybe try running as admin if if keeps failing otherwose)
- install into custom folder, e.g. C:\NetIQ\Designer402AU5 (NOT into C:\Program
Files (x86)\...!)

If you are on Windows 8 you might need to run the installer and Designer itself
in compatibility mode for Windows 7.
