~GCV~Filters and migrates

Can anyone verify this behaviour?

On a NULL driver, I have the objectklass ~klass.kle~ in the filter.
It works nicely, except when I do a migrate. In that case there is no
event on the driver at all.

If I change the filter to the literal string "Group" the driver picks up
the migrate events.

I have only tested this with the 4.6.3.0 engine

Kind regards

Perhaps the engine needs to be cycled... I'll try that later.

Hi Nicolai,
You can use your own logic for initiate sync/migration.

Pretty good example of code here:

Thanks for all the answers.
And the interresting article.

By the way, as Alex wrote... edir needs to be restarted.
Actually I knew this, I judt forgot. I believe I have made an enhancement
request (which you should all vote for 🙂

Please vote for the other ones I made as well

Have a splendid week end.

Is "~klass.kle~" a variable?

If it is could you try to use the real class name in the filter to see
if there is any change.

If it is a variable, then I think Lorhar had a similar issue, but not
how he solved it.

There was a bug fix in a patch to allow some support. Changes required
an eDir (not driver) restart I recall.

Correct. This is because this GCV change needs to be registered in dxevent
component.
I don't think you can just reload dxevent without restarting eDir.
