How does the netiq rest driver works with oauth as authentication protocol?

We have developed a netiq rest driver for which the third party application api supports oauth authentications protocol. We need to understand how does it work. How frequently it will triigger the access token api to generate the token. How does the driver validated the token to check whether it is valid or not. How can we view these details in the logs. Currently we are unable to see any token in the logs.

Are you using the latest REST shim (version 1.0.2.0)? It had some fixes in this regard (Additional logging is provided to show REST URI validation calls )

IIRC the driver does call the remote API and if that return a 401, then it will refresh the token. So the frequency will depend on token lifetime and the amount/interval of events that need to be processed by the driver.
