IDM 4.0.2 Injecting User Agent XDS command document

We are seeing this repetitive set of events in our trace. It is not the
Driver Health job that does this. Any ideas why this occures and how we
can mute/reduce its frequency?

I'm pretty sure it is part of the driver health job - it injects a
subscriber heartbeat. This is in addition to the publisher heartbeat
that each driver has by default.

The frequency of this subscriber heartbeat can be configured in the
Driver Health job.

Re: IDM 4.0.2 Injecting User Agent XDS command document

Hi Alex,

The Health Jobs are disabled in both trees for my eDir-to-eDir
configuration. Still getting these events.

Is this related to MySysInfo or Account Tracking?

Thanks,
Kirk

Re: IDM 4.0.2 Injecting User Agent XDS command document

A little more info on what this is about: The existence of the _Driver_
Health Configuration is what does this. This is not related to the
Driver Set Health Job schedule or polling parameter or even if it is
disabled.

I could not find a parameter to reduce the frequency of this Driver
Health Configuration other than deleting it.

Cheers,
Kirk

Thanks for responding.

The job runs continuously and as such the schedule is definitely not
related to this issue.

The schedule is just there to restart the job in the unlikely reason it
stops.

I had always thought it was related to a combination of the "Subscriber
Heartbeat" = true and the polling interval. Did you try changing these
two options and restarting eDirectory?

There are some oddities about jobs, I've found some things related to
them require restarting eDirectory to take effect. Especially for a job
that is designed to run continuously like the Driver Health job does.

===

The Subscriber Heartbeat parameter of the Driver Set Health Job is what
injects the XDS document. Turning that to off, changing the Polling
interval to something longer than a minute AND restarting NDSD sorts
this out.

Thanks for the suggestions,
Kirk
