IDM 4.02 and Notes Remote loader on Window server 2012?

Our production Lotus notes client with Remote loader is running on
Windows 2003 (with extended support).
We are trying to replace this old o.s. to Windows server 2012.

Unfortunately we can't get this working in our test environment. The
remote loader is crashing randomly.
In a post I read that server o.s. is not supported to run the Lotus
notes client on (in combination with Remote loader).
Is this still valid and should it run on a client o.s. like Windows 7?
In our production W2K2 we do not have crashes and it's running stable.

Crash message we see on the W2K12 server

The official story is that there is some strange bug when running on a
Server version of Windows that causes crashes. Most specifically when
running on the Domino server itself. This causes the Domino process to
crash when restarting.

So Support will tell you to run the client on a workstation.

Re: IDM 4.02 and Notes Remote loader on Window server 2012?

I had similar issue on Windows 2008r2
When we had RL installed on Notes server box, stopping RL immediately
crashed Notes process.

We switched to "supported" model: IDM -> wst with Notes client +RL ->
Notes Server.
Remote Loader restarts have no impact to Notes Server anymore.
