IDM 4.5 - Server is unreachable...

Hi all,

We are facing a strange behaviour in our IDM 4.5 installation. While
using the landing page, every aprox. 5 minutes we recibe the following
message:

"server is unreachable. verify your network connection and that the
server is running" and can't work until we logout and login back again.

Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Thanks

Re: IDM 4.5 - Server is unreachable...

What is the exact message? Do you see anything in the server-side logs
(like catalina.out for example for the appropriate Apache Tomcat instance)?

Are you using any clustering technologies?

Which browser, and can you duplicate it in another? Does this happen in
another (test/qa/prod) stage/environment?

At the time you see this, are you able to go to a second system and login
as the user against the same server?

How are you logging out, exactly? e.g. typing in URL again, clicking
'Logout' button, clearing cookies, etc.?

We are seeing this same issue. It is not consistent but happens quite
often... It is usually when we are on the landing page and click to
change password which directs the user to the sspr. We have also seen
it coming from the sspr back to the landing page. It almost ALWAYS
happens if that is the first thing I do after loggin in to the landing
page. If I fo to sspr and then back it seems to work fine without the
error.

I occasionally find this error after this happens:
