IDM 4.7 User Application PostgreSQL

Hello,

Anyone knows how to customize the location path for the PostgreSQL database? I would like the database store on a different datastore location instead of the default path /opt/NetIQ/idm/postgres. In User Application process, did specified "Customize Configuration" but the installation script doesn't give you the option, even the silent installation property file doesn't have the option neither. In previous release, I can specify the location.

Thanks

Michael

Re: IDM 4.7 User Application PostgreSQL

Dear Michael,

Thanks for sharing your observation

From 4.7, The installer is restricted to install postgres database only in /opt/NetIQ/idm/postgres location. There is no way for end user to customize the install location

Thanks SivaSaran

Perhaps will submit an enhancement request. In 4.7 GUI install is gone, now no longer can customize the datastore location.

Re: IDM 4.7 User Application PostgreSQL

Dear Michael,

Yes. That's true

We have removed the GUI install and limited the installer to install the application in a default location

As a workaround, we can still download the postgres installer from the postgres download site, and install the db in a custom location and point our application to the installed db

Thanks & Regards,
