Integrated Installer 4.0.1 W2K8R2 failed configure metadirectory

Tried with both Std and Advanced Editions, same error - a message pops
up saying that a process crashed, eventually the installer completes but
says that metadirectory configuration failed.

ii_configure.log shows:

"D:\\products\IDM\windows\setup\configuration\idm_configure_windows.exe"
-D"IA_USER_JRE_HOME=C:\Novell\IdentityManager\jre" -i silent -f
"C:\Users\ADMINI~1\AppData\Local\Temp\1\\idm_configure.properties"
exitValue = -1073741819

Verified MD5 for both ISOs

My Windows 2008 R2 image is pretty much stock standard. No other
software aside from VMWare tools is installed.

Anyone else seen this?

To clarify, I choose to install only idm/metadirectory, imanager and
designer via the integrated installer. I suspect that the issue may be
related to an installation task that expects RPBM to be installed/present.

Re: Integrated Installer 4.0.1 W2K8R2 failed configure metadirectory

I've found the integrated installer on windows to be frustrating and non functional.
I've tried many combinations and never gotten a successful install.

As I can repeat this 90% of the time, I have logged a bug for it. If we
don't report these issues, the integrated installer is never going to
get past the buggy and unreliable state it currently is in.
