Map entitlement to a role

We have an entitlement to map to a role created from userapp. But, we
are not able to find which class, DN and the values to be used. Please
update if we can get the information to map the entitlement to add to
that particular role.

This is a USer App issue so ask the question in the USer App forum.

However, from your question, it seems you may not entirely understand
how Entitlements and roles interact.

In User App you create a Role in a structure as you need it. You create
Resources and attach them to Roles.

The Resource is an abstraction layer that assigns an Entitlement (with a
value).

So in User App, you need to make a Resource (Roles if you want,
whatever) and then when you go to select an Entitlement, if your drivers
are properly set up, you will see alist of drivers with entitlements
available, and expand that and see the specific entitlements. Then if
they are valued, you can pick a value from the list.

Now anyone who gets assigned the Resource (Directly) or via inheritance
(via a Role, that has a Child Role, that has a Child ROle, that has a
Resource) gets that entitlement added to the User.

Re: Map entitlement to a role

ok..that gives me some good idea
can you also help me out what values we give to the entitlement when we
create it in designer? like the class, Base DN, Display Name, Desc,
value

So there are a lot of issues here, that are not well documented in a
simple straight forward way. There is no simple doc for all the things
needed to make your own Entitlement. It turns out not to be so hard,
just lots of bits and pieces you need to take into account.

Something to consider, why are you creating your own Entitlement? Most
shipping drivers come with mostly useful ones.

Now I have personally made several useful Entitlement add ons. Because
they are not covered. (Like a loopback driver for IDV Groups or IDV
Password Policies. Or AD Placement entitlement).

So out of the box, most drivers have UserAccount and Group where they
make sense. So in your case, you should see your drivers in UA when you
try to add it to a Resource. If not, you have a CODE MAP refresh
problem, which can have many issues along the way.

Re: Map entitlement to a role

I think I haven't verified what was there when the Entitlement is
created. So, is there a way I can configure it because when adding a
resoure I can't see the driver I am looking to create the resource.
