Memory problem with eDirectory 9.1 + IDM on Windows

Hi,

Does anyone already running IDM 4.6.x and eDir 9.1 on Windows ?

I have to sites where I did upgrade to eDir 9.1 on Windows 2012R2 and Windows 2016 recently and both sites shows memory DHOST memory consumption.

The issue occurs only when there are drivers running on the server (additional server without active drivers are ok) , the DHOST memory increase continuously and we need to restart edir every 2-3- days.

I have a incident with NetIQ but no solution at the moment.

thx

Sylvain

I am working such an incident with 9.1/4.7 on Red Hat at the moment as well.

We thought it was related to the RBE driver still running.

We tried dumping the JVM and it was only 115Megs when the ndsd process
was eating 16GB. Dib Cache is small 2GB only max, DIB itself is only
1.5GB.

We are working with 9.1/4.7 on Windows, with high CPU problems event with IDM engine off. Any news about your incidents?

Regards.

We are waiting on support for some issues, with properly profiling the
processes to get some more info to them.

Solved!!!
an obituary was the cause of our problem. After its deletion the server consumption has dropped to normal levels. Now, we can continue the update to 4.7 (we were in the update process from 4.5.6)

Hi,

I have the same problem with IDM 4.6 and eDir 9.1, does this obituary related to an IDM driver object ?

thx

We are working on using pprof to profile the running eDir. But it is not
working at the moment, waiting on Engineering.

Re: Memory problem with eDirectory 9.1 + IDM on Windows

In the meantime, I upgraded to 9.1.1 in my test system where I could see a similar problem.
I could make an update about 9.1.1 in several hours
