Provisioning Administrator Role Assignment Terminated

Logged in as uaadmin, atttempting to assign the provisioning admin role
to a user. Request status appears as "Terminated" with a yellow shield.
(Unlike in workflow where it might say "Terminated: error"

Any obvious reasons for such a failure?
Any log levels I can enable to see what is going on? I see no
"terminated" reference in any of the logs, and I've tried a number of
different logs set to "debug"

Thanks.

Terminated: Provisioning Error: Attempted to assign entitlement value
that is not in the expected JSON Format. The driver has apparently not
bee converted to proper AD Entitlements.

Greetings,
One should not be adding any child roles or resources to the default
Administrator roles of the User Application. Modifying these roles
could cause failures.

I tried playing around with this. These roles are 'magic' and clearly
only matter in the DB not in eDir.
