Proxying UserApp/JBoss via Apache

We have set up an Apache proxy through to our installation of UserApp
4.0.2 running on JBoss. Proxying via HTTP (to
http://localhost:8180/IDMProv, in our case) works fine as far as our
current testing shows, but when we try proxying using AJP (via
ajp://localhost:8109/IDMProv) the browser displays the following error:
> dojo could not be found

when accessing some parts of the admin interface (specifically
components under Administration -> Application Configuration -> Portal

Does anyone have any ideas why this might be, or how to fix it? If not
then we'll just proxy through to the HTTP listener rather than the AJP
listener, but it would be nice to understand what the problem is here.

Any other potential problems/pitfalls when proxying the UserApp via

Re: Proxying UserApp/JBoss via Apache

I use Apache exclusivly to proxy JBOSS. Because the IDM userapp has to
be run on an old vulnerable version of jboss, I use apache to "hide" the
jboss instance.

Set the following additional options in your apache configs

ProxyPreserveHost On
SetEnv proxy-sendextracrlf
SetEnv proxy-initial-not-pooled

ProxyPreserveHost On: HELPS with the server sending the serverName
localhost to the browser. 404 errors

SetEnv proxy-sendextracrlf: Workaround for a bunch of browser bugs.
SetEnv proxy-initial-not-pooled: HELPs with 502 errors
