I believe the documentation changed because it was never recommended to
install the shim on the actual Domino server and after enough issues
which were resolved simply by avoiding this unrecommended architecture
the option was pulled. Anyway, install the RL on a box with the client
and all should be well. You can still try the other way, but when it
has issues the fix is to go the other route because IBM says so and we
are finally listening.
