Re: JDBC Encryption Connection

The driver being used is a JDBC Microsoft 2008 Driver. I have not
tested the connection anywhere except for in the driver but it appears
to work if I set trustservercertificate property equaled to true. I
find some articles indicating that setting this property to true is not
secure. The driver was not set up on a remote loader because encryption
was not a factor upon initial setup and the customer wants to avoid the
extra setup step. Is there any options? The database is sitting on a
different server from where the driver is running; how can I test the
connection outside of the driver when this is the case?
