Re: Mapping table sizing

Hi there,
My mapping table works fine with a few rows but not when I populate with
2,600 rows and 4 columns. It fails to find the source row entry. I'm
using the same code and the only difference is the size of the mapping
table. What gives?

I've never heard of a size limit on mapping tables, though I can't say
that I've tried anything that large myself. How big is the actual table?

Wonder if there is a Heap issue? Does IDM need to hold the entire XML
in memory to read it? Be interesting to see if any errors in trace.

Unlikely. I have a SAP driver that has all HRMD_A05 infotype fields and two
additional columns in a mapping table with 10343 rows and token map works just
fine on it.

Re: Mapping table sizing

Hi All, The table was 269Kb. I'm still messing with this and may break
it into two tables. More to follow today.
Cheers,
Kirk

Can you open an SR? if it is really a bug, would be nice to report it to
get it fixed.

Actually, would you mind sending me the table XML (Zipped as a text
file) so I could see if I can reproduce it? Assuming the data does not
give away any secrets.

Does Designer's Simulator read it right?

Re: Mapping table sizing

Hi Again.
My issue was a data quality one on the imported CSV. That's resolved
and working now.

Kirk

Excellent! could you explain the issue specifically? I.e. I would like
to know what the error was, and how it manifested. (This is the sort of
thing I enjoy writing Cool Solutions articles about. Email me details
(my full name using Googles mail service for messaging)

Always looking for material, glad to call you out by name (or not) if
you want.
