Re: Trouble with O365 driver - Publication shim error

Any updates on this issue ? I'm having the same problem, but the links
provided in this topic (to the old powershell modules) do not work
anymore. I need the old version of the 64-bit modules and the link
points to the Sign In Client.
I'm on 2008R2, latest RL, Latest O365 driver, latest sign in assitant
and latest powershell modules.

I haven't heard anything new, but I'll ask. I have the old *.msi files
here, though.

Can you send them via filesender or something like that ? I would really
like to have them, but i'm not too fond about having my email address on
a forum 🙂

These are the ones that are supposed to work:

Microsoft Online Services Module for Windows PowerShell 64-bit -
http://g.microsoftonline.com/0BX00en/501

Microsoft Online Services Module for Windows PowerShell 32-bit -
http://g.microsoftonline.com/0BX10EN/230

Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant 64-bit -
http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=39267

As of 12 Nov 2014, the links appear to be valid and working. The MSI
installers I downloaded from there appear to be different from the ones I
have, so I'm curious to know if you try them if they actually do work as
advertised.

Re: Trouble with O365 driver - Publication shim error

Unfortunately one of these links that everybody keeps getting from the
Engineering team (including myself) is not correct. The link below is
actually an older version of the Microsoft Sign-In Assistant and not the
package containing Powershell modules as the description suggests. The
Microsoft Sign-In Assistant packages are often named
msoidcli_<something>.msi (at least for the 7.250 versions) while the
files containing the Powershell modules are often named
AdministrationConfig-<Something>.msi.

Microsoft Online Services Module for Windows PowerShell 64-bit - (This
is actually an older 64-bit version of Microsoft Online Services Sign-In
Assistant)
http://g.microsoftonline.com/0BX00en/501

Microsoft Online Services Module for Windows PowerShell 32-bit - (This
is correct, and Microsoft has dropped support for this as from
Oct/20/2014)
http://g.microsoftonline.com/0BX10EN/230

Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant 64-bit - (This is correct.
This version named Beta was apparently released to correct an issue with
the installation of the Powershell modules with the older version of
this package. There are some TechNet article about it.)

I would like to know who provided these links to you so that we can get
it corrected.

As for the modules, please have a look at the IDM 4.5 documentation
(https://www.netiq.com/documentation/idm45drivers/office365/data/b11rrjn6.html)
and will see that the links provided there are different to the ones you
listed. They should work with all officially released version of the
Office 365 driver.

Otherwise if that does not solve your problem please open a Service
Request so that we can get to the bottom of this issue in a fast and
speedy manner.

Thanks,
Casper

Re: Trouble with O365 driver - Publication shim error

I do have an SR opened, and an engineer is looking at it. I did mention
the issue with the links to the engineer. I am not going mention the
name of the person, but I think you guys can find the SR by my username.
There is only one SR under my user account at this point.

As far as the instruction in the IDM 4.5 documentation, I would not
expect to have to look at the documentation for 4.5 when I am running
4.0.2. However, I will take a look at it.

Get used to it, I am sensing a pattern about this, since 4.5 released.

I can confirm that using the 4.5 documentation links, the O365 driver is
finally working !

The IDM 4.0.2 Documentation will get fixed as soon as possible.

Best answer available: If you're affected by this, please open an SR and
work with NetIQ Support.
