Reporting Issues / How much Value

Hi All,

We have never had Reporting working in PROD. We have it partially working in TEST, I had a case open with support, I installed the Data Collection and Managed System gateway drivers. I think the issue is mainly with the Reporting/Sentinel install and PostgreSQL DB.

I want to know if you leverage native NetIQ reporting and how much value it has or if it may be better to use a SQL driver to export all our IDV data there and leverage SQL reporting.

For instance I get all kinds of errors like these on most reports, only a few reports work, most don't and give some type of similar error message:

An error was detected while running report 'Managed_System_Entitlement_and_Account_Summary': Could not initialize class net.sf.jasperreports.engine.util.JRStyledTextParser

Thanks!
Casey

Re: Reporting Issues / How much Value

You may find better results in the applications forum next to this one;
this one is about the engine and drivers, and mostly I think what you are
asking is about the reporting application itself.
