Resource Revocation

Hi,

1.I am trying to revoke a resource for a user using the resource request
activity, when i pass the DN of the resource to the resource ,when i
specify the userDn in the target field and when i click on the submit
button i get "Workflow Error: DAL communication error".
Could you please help me out in this.

2.When a resource is getting assigned to a user then the nrfAssigned
resource attribute is getting updated for the user, but when i check the
resource object i couldn't find any information regarding the user
assignments to that particular resource,is there any way where i can get
the information from the resource object.

Thanks,
Rohit

Greetings Rohit,
Resources are not the same as Roles. Meaning that when a user is
assigned to a Role there is an attribute updated on the User as well as
the Role. That is not the case with Resources. Only the User is updated.

If you are receiving the error you outlined, then there is normally
more of error and stack trace in the server.log

Re: Resource Revocation

Thanks Steven,

In the sever log i could just see this"[Workflow_Error] Initiated by
cn=*******, Error Message: DAL communication error., Process ID:
4f1dfa9df09b48d2bc61181f4aa15404, Process Name:
cn=UserMove,cn=RequestDefs,cn=AppConfig,cn=UserApplication,cn=Driver
Set,o=system:338, Activity: Activity1, Recipient: cn=****
" apart from this there is nothing else listed in the log.

Thanks,
Rohit

Re: Resource Revocation

I would guess that the resource object is corrupt (apart from the fact
that I assume you just have masked the recipient and initiator DN)
without any additional traces. Can you view it from the resource catalog
in UserApp without errors? Do you have other resource objects that are
working as expected?

There are many possible log levels you could enable but the
documentation of what each log level would show is very weak.
