Role Request Activity with flowdata.getObject from multi selected list

Hello everybody,

I have a issue with a workflow in our environment (Version 4.7.3):

Inside the request form a user can select multiple Roles from a PickList. These selected values are "copied" into another hidden field inside the form with the dn of the selected roles. (This is working with an "onchange" command, if I make this hidden field "visible" I can see the dn of the selected roles).

At the Post Activity of the Workflow the hidden field is mapped into the flowdata.

But if I want to create a "Role Request Activity" and select the "flowdata.getObject('Start/hiddenfield")" the catalina.out shows me "No Roles to request are specified".

The question is how I can make that these "Role Request Activity" will go through this flowdata object like a loop.

Thanks in advance for your help and ideas!

Cheers, Dirk

What you have outlined should be working. There is no need to loop over the roles, you can send the object as you do with flowdata.getObject('Start/hiddenfield"). I do the same and it works for me on the same version on IDM.

I would make sure that your hiddenfield in flowdata acctually contains data. For instance, use a logging activity with "flowdata.get('hiddenfield').length".

Best regards
