Role defs - Adding additional levels to roles heirarchy

Is it possible to add additional role levels to the roles hierarchy?
The roles definitions we have defined require 4 levels of hierarchy to
implement. When I look at the Role Configuration=> Role Levels in
designer, I see the three levels created by default with the default
names of "Permission Role", "IT Role", and "Business Role" (10, 20, 30
respectively). There are additional lines for additional entries, but
no control to add. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Greetings,
No, it is not possible to add new role levels. You can add
sub-containers, but not new levels.

I see this response is a few years old and therefore almost certainly
for a previous version. Is this still the answer?

Yes, this is still the answer.

What have "changed" is possibly the addition of resources that could be
viewed as the bottom level in some respects.

I would also add that a logical rolemodel that is written down on paper
and can be explained could have another technical implementation.

Besides that, simplify. Simplify. Simplify.

To echo Joakim's comments, whenever I've had a customer request more levels it has been proven to be unneeded when we sat
down and analyzed what they were trying to accomplish. Pretty much every use case can be boiled down to fit in the current
model.

And honestly if there were more (or N) levels available, people would
use them and it would become very unwieldly. 3 is not unreasonable and
can work.

Besides that three levels is what the rbac standard recognizes.
