Scalable user search: DNQuery or DNLookup

Hi everyone,

a usability question regarding user lookup in a workflow.

Users must be able to easily select a user from a list of users in
their own department.
The list can contain 100's or even 1000's of users, so a post-search
filtering option is important.

What I need to do:
* get the department as a parameter from the form to filter users (like
DNQuery can do with a global query)
* be able to filter the resulting list of users (like DNLookup can do)

Has anyone succeeded in combining these two features in one form field in UA?

Re: Scalable user search: DNQuery or DNLookup

I used Wolfgang’s Radio Button cool solution to build out a radio
button selection criteria per Department.

Depending on the selection only show the uses that match that criteria.

You can put logic inside the DAL global query key and DAL global query
parameter to then match the Radio button selected to build out whatever
query you can come up with:

I have Radio button to show:

All User, All Managers, Password Expired, Login Disabled, Intruder
Locked, Never Logged In…
