Timeout on Resource Request portlet

When I am working on a PRD which is exposed through the resource request
portlet, and my session times out, the Click Here to Start over link on
the page seems to point to the timeout page not the login page.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

thanx
Rob

Greetings Rob,
When I have seen this in the past, it was because the environment
was not configured correctly. Meaning, that you have the Guest LDAP
account within the scope of the User Application.

Meaning, if the user/root container is o=data

Guest LDAP account is: cn=guestLDAP,ou=users,o=data

That is the problem. The Guest LDAP account should not be able to be
seen by the User Application

I would suggest it to be something like:

Guest LDAP account is: cn=guestLDAP,ou=guest,o=system

Re: Timeout on Resource Request portlet

It's set to "Use Public Anonymous Account".

I can try creating a guest account and see what happens.

Greetings Rob,
Are you using the Resource Request portlet (and its shared page) on
an authenticated shared page or from a Guest page?

Re: Timeout on Resource Request portlet

This is an authenticated page added under Identity Self Service (and
made the default). And configuring the guest account and keeping it
outside the user scope did not solve the problem.

Greetings Rob,
What version and patch level is the User Application?

Greetings Rob,
I have tested this a bunch of times with 4.0.2 with Public Patch C
applied and can not reproduce what you have outlined.

Re: Timeout on Resource Request portlet

Hello Rob, Steven,

We just want to chime in ! We are seeing what seems to be the very same
problem here, when timing out from a Resource Request portlet, under UA
402C and Firefox (we haven't really tested with other browsers as of
yet).

We are NOT using guest accounts, this is all happening under
authenticated sessions within the Self-Service side of the UA.

The strange thing is, sometimes it doesn't happen. So we're still
trying to identify what exact conditions would systematically cause the
issue.

Rob, have you made any progress on your side ?
Steven, feel free to give it a try once again 😉

Best regards,

Jerome
