Timeout while trying to send message in Websphere logs

We have a Websphere server running UserApplication and Reporting Module
4.0.2. EAS is installed on another server.
We are getting this message in the websphere logs " ActiveMQStrat E
Timeout while trying to send message.". It is repeated several times.

Any idea about the origin of this message?

Greetings,
This is happening because Reporting is not able to connect to EAS.
1) Either the EAS server is not running
2) You have a firewall that is blocking the Port
3) The Reporting install / integration with EAS did not happen correctly

Re: Timeout while trying to send message in Websphere logs

The EAS server is running and the firewall is not blocking the port.
When I connect to the Reporting and click on the Auditing link the
Syslog SSL port, Audit connector port, address, port and filter are
empty. These error messages are displayed :
REST error receiver, 500, easrestapi/collection/servers
REST error receiver, 500, easrestapi/eventforward/rules

If I restart the easrestapi application the fields are filled and the
error massage in the Websphere logs is no longer displayed. This works
for a moment then the problem occurs again.

Re: Timeout while trying to send message in Websphere logs

Here are the messages from activemq log file:
2013-01-16 18:54:50,398 [ActiveMQ Task ] ERROR TransportConnector
- Could not accept connection : javax.net.ssl.SSLException:
Unrecognized SSL message, plaintext connection?
2013-01-16 19:14:09,252 [ActiveMQ Task ] ERROR TransportConnector
- Could not accept connection :
javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Remote host closed connection
during handshake

We noticed that there is a time lag between the EAS server and the
Websphere server. Can this be the origin of the problem?

Thanks

I'm having the same problem, but in Jboss (User App 4.0.1), same message
in server.log "Timeout while trying to send message" and same error in
Auditing link.
Did you find a solution?

Regards

Greetings,
If you are receiving these messages, then you are not properly
set-up with the Reporting Module and EAS. During the install of the
Reporting, it needs to connect to the EAS server and get certain items.
In your case, it would appear that trust was never set-up.

Normally, the only option is to re-install EAS and the Reporting Module.
