Unable to get CN as single value in Rest driver

Hello,
We have confirmed a rest driver and getting json for adding association.
But the json we are getting "cn":["tom"] .
Where we are getting association as a single value like : "association":"tom".
If cn is a single valued attribute then why we are getting cn as an array?
Is there any idea of this?

The JSON from the application itself does this? If so, perhaps check with
the application vendor.

If it's single-valued, meaning it is defined in the application schema as
single-valued, I do not know why, but CN is not a single-valued attribute
in eDirectory so I do not know that anything on the IDM side will treat it
as such.

This is on the publisher? If I recall correctly, the REST driver JSON to XDAS conversion assumes that all attributes arrays.

Post a level 3 trace so we can see what you're talking about.

You could just take the first value all the time in your using it.
