Unable to login to User App after changing admin's password


Hi Guys,

After changing admin's password, we are not able to login to User App.
Any other user tries to login get error stating to contact the
administrator...

Is there any other configuration that I need to update after a password
change?

Any pointers?

Generally speaking using the 'admin' account for anything behind a service
is a terrible idea for exactly this reason; first, you likely do not need
that many rights, and second, you'll never remember all of the places to
change that password when required. Third, if any single service is
compromised, you lose control of the user with full power over your tree.

I would guess you have this password in the UserApp configuration, so fix
it (replace it with a service-specific user with appropriate rights only,
not 'admin' again) where you set it in configupdate.sh on the server.

Ran the configupdate.
Then restarted jboss server.
Now, I am getting the following error with the User App page:
"An error has occurred while processing your request. Please contact the
administrator, or click the back button and try again."

I checked for the log files are following error seems to be causing the
issue:
java.lang.RuntimeException:
com.novell.soa.common.LocalizedRuntimeException: Schema is invalid. One
or more required tables are missing. Check log for messages indicating
tables that were not found.

Does the user used for the RDBMS connection have rights to create tables?
Once upon a time (about a year ago per my notes) I saw he same thing and
the DBA involved came back and said that the user involved for the DB
connection did not have table-create rights. In theory that was all he
changed to fix things, though I had/have no way of verifying that.

Did you do any kind of an upgrade when you changed the admin password?

If you login with the DB user to the database can you see all of the
tables that you can see with the DBA's accounts, and can you create new
tables in the IDM UserApp database/schema?

Or put another way, at the same time as you changed the admin password,
did you possibly change the Database users password as well?

Actually, I do not know how to change the DB users password in User App.
Anyone?
