User application deployment mechanism question

Hello,

I have a question regarding the user application deployment from the
designer. How user application changes (in workflows forms for example)
are updated/deployed in the application server as I what we deploy from
the designer is deployed in the vault ?

My other question is what is the best way to put my development
application on live environment ?
I know I need the idmprov.war, and also deploy again my work (DAL,
request definitions,...)
Is there an other way such as packages to do this ?

Thanks for you answers.

mdadik

Greetings,
When you deploy your changes from the Designer

1) When you go to Request the WF, we look at the WF in the UAD. From
that we generate what you see in the UI

2) All currently running workflows will not be changed by your
deployment. They are running based upon the "version" of it when the
Workflow was started.

Re: User application deployment mechanism question

Hello, thanks for this quick reply, so the workflow forms UI is
dynamically build in the deployed application regarding the provisioning
request stored in the directory.

Greetings,
Pretty much. You build the form and its layout in the designer and
then deploy that to the UAD. The User Application reads the information
in the UAD for this particular WF and renders it.
