configure content on HPD

HI,

it is quite simple to glbaly configure the content for the new Homepage
(/landing) but I found no way yet to configure the content of the new
provisioning dashboard (/dash).

1) Is there any way to configure the dashboard only to show certain
roles and/or resources and get rid of the quick seach at the top

2) Is there or will there be a way to customize the content of homepage
and/or dashboard depending on groups, ou or roles like it is possible in
the RBPM (/IDMProv)?

Thanks,

Thorsten

Greetings,

1) If you have set the proper trustees on the Roles, Resources, and
Workflows as well as blocked Public Browse (I have outlined here how to
accomplish this), then the results returned from the search will be only
those items that the logged in user has the rights to request.

2) You can also utilize the "Featured Items" to show specific
Role/Resource/Workflows to quick request. Again, if you have set-up the
proper ACLs and disabled PUBLIC browse then when a user logs in they
will only see the links they should.

with this, you can create categories for this area.

All of this is explained in the documentation.

Hi Steven,

thanks for your fast reply!
I was aware of the fact that a user can only see roles, resources and
prd's according to the edirectory rights set correctly. Instead I was
wondering, if it is - or will be possible to show only selected sections
like the "featured items" on the dashboard. Since it is possible in the
old UI to accomplish a configuration of the content I would be glad to
have the same chance for the new daschbaord.

The other question was if there are any plans to make the content
configuration within HPD user dependent (through roles, groups, etc.)
like in IDMProv. As far as I can see in this version all configuration
is global.

Thanks,

Thorsten
