handling SOAP Faults

I need to call a SOAP service using HTTP connector to have an external system generate an id for a new users. This service takes a number of parameters that identify the user (giveNamen, surname, ...). If there is already a user for a set of parameters, the service will throw a SOAP fault. In its details the fault message contains the preexisting id. How can I get to this value with Validator?

The "Get POST/PUT/DELETE Results and Set Variable" action seems to populate the target variable with the warning message text "Server returned HTTP response code: 500 for URL: https://id.xxx.net:9443/XXXIdProviderV3/XXXIdProviderService/XXXIdProviderPort" instead of the actual XML returned by the service.

This looks like an issue we should resolve. Would you mind entering a bug against this at https://bugzilla.novell.com/enter_bug.cgi?format=guided&classification=3&product=IDM+Test+Suite&submit=Use+This+Product

Then we will take a look at it as soon as we can.

Thanks.

Re: handling SOAP Faults

v1.4.1 (to be released Sep 2016) will append the error message to the end of the return data.

Will that still be valid XML so one can parse the output?
