ArcSight Console on Yosemite


Greetings ArcSight Peeps,

I notice there are several posts on Protect on the subject of getting the 6.x or 5.2-5.5 console to run on Yosemite.  Currently the only support MAC OS for the ArcSight 6.x and 5.2-5.5 Console is OSX1 0.7 Lion.  I know some folks have had success on running the console on 10.8 Mountain Lion and 10.9 Mavericks  but for 10.10 Yosemite it will not install. So here is the hack to make it work.  Before you read further this is a hack so your mileage may vary and most importantly this is not supported by HP ArcSight support.  The hack is crazy simple  install the console on previous MAC OS release 10.7 or later but not Yosemite then copy the entire directory to a target system running Yosemite.  Again your mileage may vary and this is not a supported configuration by support.
