How to design a new a4-landscape template on Logger

I need to define a new PDF template for a4-landscape output on a Logger 5.3 SP 1 deployment. I went to the "Reports" tab on top and selected "Template Styles" on the left. I added a new template and defined all properties (header, footer, etc.) up until the "Orientation".

I am then confronted with three fields: "Modify Orientation", which can be set to "true" or "false" and two free text fields with the properties "Control Move Right" and "Control Expand Right".

Can anyone explain to me how this works? Where do I define page setup? (I presume in the associated Layout file?)

Is there any documentation on how to define logger templates/styles/layouts? I could not find anything helpful so far.

Hi Jens,

in the "Report" Tab you select "Template Styles" an create a new Template.

You can now change the Syle of the Template (or you do nothing)

Than you save the Template.

After saving you see in the GUI a "Template_name.irl" and an "Template_name.sty"

The "Template_name.irl" is the Layout file.

You can now edit the Layout with the "Edit Layout" Button on the top.

in a new windows opens the Report Designer (nearly the same as in ESM)

With "File" => "Page Setup" you get again a new window.

Now you can configure with "Page Settings" the landscape format.

Klick ok and don't forget to save the settings in the Reportdesigner and in the new template.

Best Regards
